Josh Jackson 19 Points Pistons Debut Full Highlights (12/23/2020)

There were 43 players who scored more points than Josh Jackson did tonight. I’m not going to go into player-by-player specifics as to why 42 of them (shout out to Terry Rozier) are ineligible for a DTB highlight video, but rest assured that I have my reasons. Those reasons include:

-Them being on my exclusion list (which accounts for 36 of the players)
-Them not scoring a notable amount of points (sorry Darius Garland, 22 and 6 isn’t gonna cut it this year)
-I hate them (RJ Barrett)
-I’m lazy (Dejounte Murray possibly)
-They didn’t make their debut for the Pistons, continuing a redemption tour that started in Memphis by scoring 19 points

Truly, Jackson was the only player tonight who made his debut for the Pistons while continuing a redemption tour by scoring 19 points. There were other players who made their debuts for the Pistons, some of them good (Mason Plumlee finally out of the shadow of Jokic), some of them not so good (Jerami Grant also out of the shadow of Jokic but that didn’t help), some of them baffling (Jahlil Okafor?????), but Jackson is the one who has the steadfast backing of the ever-powerful concept of “narrative”.

Detroit doesn’t exactly seem like the best place for him to continue resurrecting his career, but there’s certainly going to be plenty of minutes and touches if he wants them, which is all he really needs to be productive. Just looking at the Pistons roster, there’s not too many dudes there who I’d definitely want having the ball over him.
