I don’t blame Pacers fans right now if they’re feeling saltier than the Dead Sea after their team got their collective booty handed to them by Mikal Bridges. It’s one thing to have your rear end served to you on a silver platter by a player like, say, Devin Booker. It sucks, but it’s expected. You can say “well, he’s one of the most dynamic scorers in the league, sometimes there’s nothing you can do”, shake your head, and continue to the next game. But when it’s someone like Bridges doing the dominating, the first words from any fan’s lips will echo the eternal refrain of the victimized:

“WHY DO SCRUBS ALWAYS GO OFF ON US?!?!?!?!?”

Bridges is a reasonable offensive player, but he’s inconsistent. He certainly didn’t have a very good game in his last outing, a fact that was snarkily brought up during his final free throws by the Pacers commentators, who I guess wanted to reassure the viewers that what they had just watched was extremely unfair (“I didn’t think he was very effective at all last night”, GTFO the frick out of here, everyone knows you didn’t watch the last Suns game, or any Suns games at all for that matter).

Perhaps Pacers fans will feel better when they are informed of the fact that Suns fans have been seriously hyping up Bridges for a while now, granted, mostly because of his defensive prowess. So that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to inform Pacers fans, right now, about how Suns will simply not shut up about how good Bridges supposedly is.

ATTENTION PACERS FANS: It may seem unfair and rather cruel that Mikal Bridges, who isn’t even that good, dropped 34 on your team, and I understand your frustration, but be aware that Suns fans actually think, without a trace of irony or sarcasm, that Bridges is one of the most important players on their team, so it’s actually not as big of a deal as you think that he went out and scored a bunch of points.

Problem is, I really, really doubt that any Pacers fans are watching this video. If Bridges did this against the Bucks, I know I would make a concerted effort to consume no media relating to the game, just so I wouldn’t be exposed to any of the unfair bucketage. But since I really want Pacers fans to know that Bridges is actually good, I’ll get to work hacking the Pacers’ database of season-ticket holders so I can send out a mass email including a link to this video.
