It was just a year ago that Marcus Morris was BALLING OUT for a decidedly under-talented Knicks squad who needed a go-to scorer. Even though Morris’ scoring bonanza in New York happened pretty recently, I feel justified in proclaiming this performance to be an OFFICIAL REPRESENTATION OF “VINTAGE” MARCUS MORRIS. If you disagree with my notion of what “vintage” means, or you disagree with my being justified in making “official” statements on my own channel, you are welcome to crawl back into your mom’s birth canal and pretend that you and your dumb opinions had never been born.
It turns out that Morris’ scoring proclivity didn’t disappear once he landed on the Clippers, it was just buried by the combined talents of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. With both those dudes out this game, it was a prime opportunity for Morris to demonstrate to the universe at large that he still has the ability to be a Kawhi-lite on the offensive end of the ball. Sadly, he’s doomed to be a backup as long as he shares a roster with those two particular superstars, since they cover the positions that he could feasibly play. I think Morris played shooting guard last season once he got to LA, but that doesn’t sit right with me. Intuitively, it’s better for him to be a backup than for him to be played out of position.
Why are you still reading this description? Sit back, relax, and enjoy the VINTAGE scenes of Marcus Morris cooking from three-point range and hitting midrange shots that you vaguely knew were in his arsenal but that you didn’t quite expect.
