This is what I want. No stupid Paul George and his dumb braids. No stupid Kawhi Leonard and all the load management that he brings along with him everywhere he goes. No stupid Serge Ibaka and his stupid cooking show. No stupid Reggie Jackson and his, well, I don’t know exactly what I dislike about Reggie Jackson, but let’s throw him on the list too. I don’t want ANY of those guys. If the Clippers are going to be fun and watchable, I want Luke Kennard and Luke Kennard only.

An extra large serving of Luke Kennard is what we got last night. After being marginalized for the entire year, the stars finally aligned (aligned on the bench LOL [lots of laughs]) and he was unleashed in the way that we all know he can be unleashed. For the first time ever while donning a Clippers jersey, The Nard Dog looked like Pistons-era Nard Dog, which wasn’t even that look ago but seems like a forgotten relic of the distant past. 28 points in 38 minutes, 10-of-16 shooting, not very many assists (because why would Kennard ever pass instead of shoot?), this is exactly what I’ve been clamoring for.

I’m not going to be foolish and say that this is the start of a Nard Dog rebirth in Los Angeles. It can’t be, because all those dudes listed above will come back to the lineup at some point, and then Kennard will be shoved back into the tiny role that he had before. But that sad reality isn’t going to stop me from enjoying this performance in the here and now.
