Every team has a certain role-player that destroys them every time. Or, if not destroys, at least scores an unreasonably large amount of points considering the role-player status. You can ask any fanbase, and they’ll quickly respond with the name (or names) of their tormentor. Someone should do a survey; I’d be interested to know so that I could antagonize each fanbase even more pointedly than I already antagonize them.

So I don’t know who that role-player is for most teams in the league, but for the Bucks, it’s clear: Khyri Thomas.

You thought I was going to say Norman Powell, weren’t you? Ha! Ha! Ha! Maybe that was true in the past, but we’re not living in the past. We’re living in the NOW.

There’s really no doubt about it. Thomas is a bucks killer. He sees the Bucks coming up on the schedule, and he smiles, because he knows that they won’t be able to stop him, have never been able to stop him, and never will be able to stop him. This may seem like a strange statement to make about a guy who’s averaging 2 PPG per game over his NBA career, but LO!, soothe your doubts with the healing balms of STATISTICALS.

Here’s the deal: Thomas’ three best scoring games as a pro have all come against the Bucks. 16 points tonight, in his Rockets debut. 13 points in his 7th game as a rookie. And 9 points in his first ever playoff game. The numbers don’t lie, he just straight up hates the Bucks and wants to dominate them every single time he goes up against them. His team may not have won any of those games, but it’s not his fault that his teammates don’t hate the Bucks as much as he does.
