Devin Booker needs to play with a real point guard. That’s what I have decided. Not Eric Bledsoe, not Brandon Knight, those dudes are just smaller shooting guards who sometimes pass. Booker needs a legit passer to set him up for easier looks than what he’s getting right now. If his looks already look easy, remember that they always can get easier and opener, until every shot attempted is just like shooting in an open gym.
Tyler Ulis is that point guard? Yes! The Ulis-Booker combo has been tried sparingly this season, but it hasn’t turned out as bad as you might imagine it would’ve. I think. I’m really, REALLY bad at looking at lineups data; for all I know, that tandem could be giving up 3 points per possession while only scoring .2, seriously, I’m just not good at this sort of stuff.
Just forget about it, okay? I’ll let people smarter than me figure this one out.
