This video mostly exists to chronicle the emergence of Trevor “T-Booker” Booker’s three-point shot. In the past three games, T-Booker is 6-10 from deeptown. His game log is littered with 0-of-1 and 0-of-2 outings from beyond, so I actually buckled down with my calculator and did the math to find out what his three point shooting was looking like before this three-game mini hot streak.
After much sweat and toil, I successfully figured out how to use a calculator to subtract numbers from each other, and I came up with T-Booker’s totals: 7 of 28, or 25%, before these three games. That’s the kind of percentage where Kenny Atkinson probably pulled him aside and said “if this team wasn’t so garbage I would have told you to cut that out a long time ago.” But the Nets’ season is totally wasted (a fact that Nets fans are very, very tired of hearing about) so you might as well let guys shoot three-pointers if they want to. What’s the worst that can happen? You lose the game? That’s usually gonna happen anyway.
