As long as Devin Booker keeps scoring 39 without ever scoring 40, I’m gonna keep putting “Career High” in the titles of the resultant highlight vids. I don’t care that future netizens will be horribly confused by the appearance of three (or more) separate performances when they type “Devin Booker career high” into the holosearch bar of HoloTube. 39 points is his career high, that is a fact, and I yearn above all to be factual with my video titles.
Descriptions, now that’s another story. Sometimes facts come into the equation. Sometimes not.
So here’s another fact for you fact-craved factotums: I’ve totally ragged on D-Book these past few months for being a huge chucker with only middling scoring to show for it. Which is still true, only lessened a bit by these two most recent performances. He shoots slightly fewer shots than he gets points, those stats equalling each other or worse being the truest measure of a chucker.
I’ve had a change of heart, I think. I don’t think I care too much about how a player gets their points anymore, just that the points are gotten in a highlight-worthy way (so not too many free-throws). I ate some funky mac-and-cheese and I feel pretty gross as a result, so maybe my newfound lenience towards inefficient players is just a result of my impending mortality. Stay tuned, or don’t, whatever you do, don’t eat mac-and-cheese if it looks off in any way.
