Happily for the rest of the league, the addition of Kyle Korver to the Cavaliers hasn’t propelled them to unstoppable-juggernaut-status like some feared. And despite the Cavs recent woes, he hasn’t had the opposite effect either. People are finding out what Hawks fans knew all along: Korver’s a great guy and teammate, a deadly shooter, but it takes a LOT of work to get him open.
Even if his stats aren’t that great to start off his Cavs tenure, there is no doubt that his presence on the floor helps everyone else out. It’s common knowledge that his gravity distorts defenses, allowing other players to do their thing. Players like LeBron James, but also probably players like DeAndre Liggins. Probably.
By the way, I’m still regretting not doing those Liggins highlights when he scored 11 back in 2013. This regret will stay with my until my final crepitant breath.
