Process status: TRUSTED
The 76ers are a decent team kind of, Joel Embiid just showed out on national TV, I heard MVP chants for T.J. McConnell and “trust the process” chants for Embiid, Ersan Ilyasova’s NBA-high streak of games with a made three ended (actually that one really sucks), TLC scored 12 again, I have to admit, I am hyped right now. Really hyped. Dangerously hyped. I can’t feel my arms, but it’s the good kind of not being able to feel your arms, I think. Also my thoughts feel like they’re going in slow motion even as I feel my racing heart trying to burst its way through my chest.
When you add Ben Simmons to the mix, I don’t think the world will be able to handle the hype overload. I definitely won’t be able to. Someone should call him up and just say to wait until next year, wait until this insane hype-coaster has reached its terminus. By that point, there will be a new object of league-wide fixation replacing Embiid, and we can enjoy primo 76ers basketball without dying from hypeitis.
