D.J. Augustin 21 Points Full Highlights (1/29/2017)

If I was a Raptors fan at the game last night I would have been booing the heck out of D.J. Augustin every time he touched the ball. I would also have booed with gusto whenever he checked into the game. Why? Because, for the half-season he was with the Raptors back in 2013, Augustin sucked major donkey dongs.

Averaging two points and an assist on sub-30% shooting in just ten games (to nine DNP’s), I thought Augustin was going to fall out of the league, as he had just gotten done with a stop in Indiana where his numbers weren’t much better. Toronto waived who they thought was a useless bum, and I’m sure the Bulls didn’t expect much out of him when they signed him for the rest of the season. Then he went and averaged 15/5 with 40% three-point shooting.

So that’s why I expected Toronto fans to rain boos upon him. He was total garbagey poo for half a season but immediately after leaving the Raptors he transformed himself into a fringe starter/valued role player. That hasn’t stopped him from being a journeyman since then, but, man, I would be saltier than the Dead Sea if I was a Raptors fan. I guess they all tried to block that unfortunate part of history out of their minds.
