This is going to be the laziest, cop-outiest take imaginable, but have you noticed that in these last three games where Steven Adams has been more involved, the Thunder have won them all? I am proposing that these two occurrences are related, in fact, I am going to posit that one causes the other! The Thunder are winning because they are making Adams feel a part of the offense!
So there you have it. It doesn’t take a genius to come up with that theory, but it does take a genius to write up to two whole paragraphs about it.
Even Carmelo Anthony was getting on the action by passing the ball to Adams. The Thunder still have a long way to go before their offense resembles what it did last year (which I think should be the goal, it worked better despite inferior talent), but this was definitely a retro game for Westbrook. Retro Westbrook and retro Adams equals wins. Iso George and bricklayer Anthony do not.
