After tonight, Khris Middleton is averaging just a hair over 20 points per game on the season. We are living in a world where he is around the 25th best scorer in the league (20 ppg or not doesn’t change much in that regard). Isn’t that kinda nuts? From 2nd round pick to throw-in on a trade to All-Star-ish caliber player, he is a rare player who exceeded all initial expectations placed on him.
I have been hoping for 20 ppg Middleton for a couple years now. 20 ppg is the unofficial cutoff in my mind for what constitutes a good scorer, just like 25 points is the cutoff for what constitutes a good scoring game. Ever since I saw him in a Bucks uniform, I thought that he had this in him, and now he’s frickin’ confirmed it.
Now he just has to keep it up for the rest of the season. Kidd is giving him the minutes (probably too many at this point but whatevs), he just needs to take the shots.
