I’m really sad right now. Jamal “Maple Curry” Murray’s ankle-breaker on Steven Adams is, rightfully, going to get a lot of attention. And I’m so happy for him. It was a great move.
But…
But Luke Babbitt’s sick ankle-breaker on Robert Covington received absolutely no airtime and it’s not fair because that one was perhaps even sicker than this one because of the relative quality of the offending players and I just don’t understand why people don’t like Babbitt.
Okay?
With that out of the way (I don’t feel any better I thought venting would help but it just made me sadder), we can discuss the rest of Murray’s game tonight. He hit a bunch of shots. That’s what he did, simply put. 14 buckets, no free-throw attempts because he likes making defenders look like doofuses, and a performance of what I interpreted to be a strange variation of the “Big Balls Dance”. You know, the one that people do when they want to get fined by the league?
He also had some assists, but let’s be real, with this much bucketage on display, no one wants to see a handful of dimes breaking up the pure scoring assault.
