Before you get all confused about this dude, remember: he did some stuff on the Grizzlies last year. Started a whole bunch of games for them, and they won a bunch of those games. Then he went to the Rockets and did approximately one thing for them, which was score a bunch in his debut by hitting a bunch of threes (a type of shot which he really kinda sucks at). Not much this year at all, but hey. This isn’t like an Andrew White situation where a guy just pops up out of nowhere to kick some booty. This guy has kicked booty in the past, with two separate teams, and now he’s on his third.
Unlike that game with the Rockets, this is what I expect from him most nights: him using his superior athleticism to get buckets. He attacked the rim with ferocity tonight, even when he didn’t have the ball. As evidence, view his putback jam that the Knicks bench loved and the TV people showed many replays of.
This isn’t his Knicks debut, which sucks, because I think the title of this video would be a lot more hard-hitting with a “Knicks Debut” in it. Oh well. If he somehow finds his way to another team, he’ll have another shot at a debut.
