Aaron Gordon is slumping mega-hard from three. Everyone knew his hot start shooting the deep ball wasn’t going to last, but his percentage is overcorrecting itself in a bad way. He’s shooting tons of them, but since the new year started, they’re simply not going in. For a while there he was shooting better from three than he shot from the free-throw line in his lone college season; that was in insane stat that now no one will remember.
I’m mentioning all this because he actually hit some triples in this game. At this point, the Magic FO are probably secretly wishing that he would just keep bricking, but it’s got to be a sight for sore eyes for the fans. And that’s what this is all about, right? Entertainment for the fans. Everything else is secondary.
Luckily for the oft-tortured Magic fanbase, DeAndre Ayton is right around the corner and Vucevic can take his soft Euro heinie and avoid contact somewhere else.
