Gary Harris does it again. He hit a clutch lead-extending jumper against the Grizzlies last game, and now he hits a clutch lead-extending jumper against the Cavaliers. It’s time to say what everyone is thinking: he is clutch. He is the Nuggets’ go-to guy when things get close and Will Barton wants to shoot the ball but everyone tells him to pass it to someone else.
It goes without saying, but every win is super important for the Nuggets right now, if they want to make the playoffs. I’m just going to assume that the playoffs is, indeed, their goal. The race in the West is really tight right now, even slipping a few games could mean watching from home by the time May rolls around. The Nuggets have too many talented players for that to be the outcome of their season, and they’re proving their talent by winning these close games.
Beating the Cavaliers seems like it should be an accomplishment, right? I think it still is.
