Whatever’s wrong with the Cavaliers, I don’t think Kyle Korver being inserted into the starting lineup will solve their problems. At best, it partially solves their “J.R. Smith” problem, which involves J.R. Smith being total booty all of the time and reacting to getting called out on his booty-ness by throwing soup at people. That second part will probably keep happening, but his stated bootitude will be mitigated by having him watch from the bench as Korver (and maybe John Holland) play ahead of him.
Other problems still remain, and any solution to them probably involves LeBron James becoming even more of a beast than he already is. That’s what he usually does in the playoffs anyway, so I’m not overly concerned at the moment.
And if Korver can do this every night, heck, forget about the Raptors! He’s not going to get to go against the Suns every night, but he does get to play with LeBron every night, which really helps his cause.
