Pascal Siakam Career High 28 Points Full Highlights (1/1/2018)

Pascal “SICKam” Siakam was really cooking tonight. He didn’t overuse the spin moves, which is both comforting (in that he can score in ways other than spin moves) and disappointing (I wanna see spin moves, god damn it). After just setting a career-high a week ago with 26 points, he want ahead and surpassed that total with 28 in this one. As I said, he was cooking.

But this video would have been way more awesome if the final third of it wasn’t composed almost entirely of free-throws. Career-highs are always more satisfying when they are the result of straight-up bucket acquisition. Not foul acquisition. Obviously, foul acquisition is a skill that should be valued, but that doesn’t mean I have to be the one to value it. I’ll leave that to people whose sole purpose in life isn’t to make entertaining, yet also informative, NBA highlight videos for worldwide distribution on YouTube.

The odd thing is, Jae Crowder also notched a career high in this one by scoring thirty. Were none of the wings on either team playing defense or was this some kind of high-level strategy thought up independently by both coaches but remaining totally opaque to myself? To let these guys go off on each other?
