DeMarre Carroll 20 Points Full Highlights (1/4/2019)

DeMarre Carroll is probably worse now than he was when he was known affectionately as part of the “Trash Brothers” duo (with Patrick Patterson who also sucks even worse now) in Toronto, but he’s receiving about 5 percent of the criticism. Obviously, the situations are way different. In Toronto, he got paid a ton of money to be a better version of the do-all role-player that he was with the Hawks (where he was surrounded by four All-Stars, don’t forget). He was, in a way, supposed to put the Raptors over the top, which he utterly failed to do. In Brooklyn, the team sucked, and the only reason they got him was to get a first-round pick to replace all the ones they traded away. No expectations.

Carroll’s still getting paid a ton of money, but his contract is over after this year. 15 million dollars are being spent on his 10 points per game on sub-40 percent shooting. That’s pretty bad, not the worst, but pretty bad. As I said, though, he’s avoiding criticism because I’m guessing that the average NBA fan has totally forgotten he exists. The view counts for my highlight videos of him certainly give that impression.

Well, I still know he exists, and I’m going to keep promoting him even when he gets a tiny 1-year contract for next year from some team who thinks that he’ll bring veteran leadership or something. Maybe the Grizzlies will take him back? That seems like a very Grizzlies-type signing.
