Yes, Emmanuel Mudiay was “clutch” in this video, but what you don’t get to see (unless you actually watched the game you disgusting monster) is all his turnovers and bricks leading up to it. Or his missed game winner. To be fair, he only had .4 seconds to shoot a horrible fadeaway with a defender right in his face. So I’ll give him a pass for that one, but not all the other stuff.
At least the Brits got an exciting game. I don’t know how exciting it really was for them, because neither team had a player that would be even close to recognizable for a casual British fan, but buzzer-beaters and game-winners were definitely happening. And those are always exciting, unless it’s a goaltend.
The Brits also got something else: a totally warped view of how good Mudiay is. Since their only concept of a player’s goodness is how many buckets they got (a good metric, I must say), they will surely think that Mudiay is some sort of All-Star PG leading the Knicks to greatness. Speaking of which, people aren’t doing their part to get this guy in the All-Star game. He’s foreign, right? Why isn’t his country voting for him?
