There were thousands of Londoners watching the first quarter of this game, seeing Luke “Korndog” Kornet get super hot from long distance, and thinking to themselves, “What would it take for a British national to be as good at basketball as Luke Kornet is?” They’ve already suffered through the NBA non-factor that was Joel Freeland, so they know that the best that British basketball has to offer isn’t good enough for the NBA. They know that the kingdom as a whole has to do better.
Then those same Londoners watched the Korndog’s second-half performance, which saw him score only four points, and thought to themselves, “We could totally get a British national to be this good if tried hard enough. This guy’s not any better than Freeland was, anyway. He can’t even score!” They thought these thoughts while eating whatever concessions are standard in British arenas. Probably fish and chips, spotted dick, and munchie boxes.
By the way, isn’t “Freeland” a really ironic name for a Briton given that they have to PAY for a television license? Like literally pay money. To catch the TV waves that are flying through the air. LOL. Lots of laughs. What’s not LOL is how British people get to eat munchie boxes all the time but I don’t get to eat them any of the time.
