It’s easy to forget since he’s only in his second year in the league, but Bogdan Bogdanovic is already 26 years old. For reference, that means he’s 6 years older than Luka Doncic. And he’s a full decade (plus change) older than Giannis. You know Zion Williamson, that studmuffin who is going to be in the league next year? Bogdanovic is 15 years older than that guy. And, believe it or don’t, but he’s a few months older than Dirk Nowitzki, who is looking rather useless as he concludes his 20-year career.
So it’s okay to be hyped for him doing stuff like he did tonight, but don’t assume that there is some massive untapped well of potential lurking in between his perineum and his peritoneum. There might be, and he might turn into a 20-ppg scorer with a bunch of assists at some point, but we could also realistically be looking at something close to his peak right now.
This might have been the best game of his career, by the way. A career-high in assists, and only a few off a career-high in points. He pretty much dominated the whole way, and it was a good thing he did, otherwise the Kings would’ve lost by 50. What happened to De’Aaron Fox, anyway? For a second there I was thinking about taking him off my channel but now I couldn’t make highlights of him even if I wanted to.
