Kevin Knox 20 Points Full Highlights (2/9/2019)

The first step to making a lot of shots is taking a lot of shots. Kevin Knox is aware of this basketball truism, and has become adept as a rookie in shooting the ball at the basket. If he’s going to be the Knicks’ second banana of the future (the first banana being Luke Kornet), there’s no time to waste when it comes to his development. This is a scenario where Kevin Durant does not come to the Knicks, by the way. Otherwise, you can just forget about Knox because Durant’s going to be scoring 50 per game. This is also a scenario where whoever the Knicks draft with the first overall pick gets arrested for drug trafficking.

Anyway, it’s good to see that Knox’s relative lack of success hasn’t dampened his enthusiasm for shooting. Other rookies would’ve capitulated by this point, dialling back their attempts or maybe even getting benched. But Knox is strong. He has the “Mamba Mentality”, whatever that is.

Similarly, for the Knicks as a whole, they know that the first step to winning a lot of games is losing a lot of games. They’ve won 1 out of their last 25 games, an incredibly clutch performance as the tanking around the league ramps up in anticipation of getting do select Bol Bol in the draft. The night is darkest before the dawn. Stay strong Knicks fans. Your time will come.
