Langston Galloway 21 Points/6 Threes Full Highlights (3/9/2019)

Langston Galloway, after this 6-for-6 performance from deep, over a span of three games has now hit 12 consecutive threes without a miss. That may not sound like a whole heck of a lot, but let me tell you: it is. The Pistons commentators were quick to tell us that that falls one short of the Pistons record of 13 straight, set by… Terry Mills!

But that’s not the whole story. As far as I can tell, 13 is also the NBA record, shared by Mills and Brent Price. I say “as far as I can tell”, because I can’t find any sources more recent than from 15 years ago. With the advent of increased three-point chucking which has now spread throughout the entire league, it’s possible that someone has broken that record. But if they have, I can’t find any record of it. If someone has better information than me, tell me how much of a dumbass I am while sharing it.

But for now, we’re just going to say that Galloway is one away from the NBA record. No pressure or anything. The next Pistons game has become must-watch TV, at least for statheads like me who yearn only for larger or more notable statistical feats. And if he comes up short and misses his next long bomb, at least he can look back on these times where, for the first time in his career, there was some sort of narrative surrounding him. He should cherish this moment.
