Jahlil Okafor 15 Points Full Highlights (3/16/2019)

Jahlil Okafor was a fun story for a little white there. Did you realize that he had a 5-game stretch where he averaged almost 10 makes a game? He was a straight-up bucket machine, just like what he was drafted to be. A guy who was put on this earth to do one thing and one thing only: put the ball in the hole from close range.

All good things must come to an end, though, and now that Anthony Davis is “back”, Okafor is back to the bench. There have even been games where he didn’t play, just like old times. All the optimism from internet commentators in the world can’t change the fact that he is simply not a winning player in the NBA as currently constructed (either him or the NBA as currently constructed).

The solution is to change how he is currently constructed. I don’t think it’s very possible, even for the mindblowing abilities of modern medical technology, to vastly improve his footspeed or ability to change direction quickly. That means he needs to go outside the realm of modern medical technology. No, I don’t mean to the spiritual dimension, though prayer couldn’t hurt. And no, I don’t mean steroids. He’s already strong enough. I’m talking about cybernetic implants. I played Deus Ex, and I know that there’s probably some secret doctor in some secret lair that can put some stuff in Okafor’s legs to make him jump and run way better. He just needs to find that doctor, pay him some of that NBA money, and then also pay some guy to teach him how to shoot threes because that’s another thing that modern NBA bigs need to do.
