DeMarre “The Carr Bear” Carroll is going to be a free agent this off-season. In honor of his impending free-agency, I have compiled a list of destinations that I think would be a good fit for the services he provides:
-Toronto Raptors. Obviously, Carroll’s role on next-year’s Raptors squad depends on whether or not Kawhi sticks around, but he can be useful in both scenarios. If Kawhi stays, Carroll serves as an awesome 3-and-D wing who does many of the same things Kawhi does. If Kawhi leaves, Carroll fills in the hole that Kawhi left.
-Toronto Raptors. Carroll is beloved by all the people of Canada. They have no animosity towards him at all. Players always want to play where they’re loved, and for Carroll, that place is Toronto.
-Toronto Raptors. Masai Ujiri is a shrewd GM and knows how to find bargains in the free-agent market. Carroll is the very definition of a bargain contract with his current fifteen million dollar per year contract, and his next contract will certainly be a bargain as well given his elite skillset. Anything below twenty-four million per year is a steal, and steals are exactly what Masai specializes in.
-Toronto Raptors. It’s just a no-brainer that DeMarre Carroll plays next season for the Raptors. Nothing more really needs to be said here.
In conclusion, Carroll is going to be on the Raptors next season and everybody’s going to love it.
