I can only imagine how salty the Warriors commentators were during this game. Well, “only” is wrong, because I could just load up the other version of the game and find out firsthand how salty they were. That would be easy, but I just want to imagine the saltiness. What if it’s not as salty in real life as it is in my imagination? There’s no way that would be the case, because you just now that homer play-by-play dude was freaking out as the Mavericks hit all their shots in the first half, but why risk it?
Right now I’m imagining him say “oh, COME ON!” in that whiny indignant voice of his after Maxi Kleber hits his final triple, giving him 16 points in thr first half. Maybe he also does that little chuckle that he does whenever anything happens. Oh my god.
Sadly for Kleber fans, his 16-point first half led into a 0-point second half. That’s what happens when you kick a team’s ass as hard as the Mavericks did in this game: you don’t get to keep kicking their ass because of an antiquated idea known as “sportsmanship”. Which, I must mention, does not exist as a concept in Germany, so there’s no reason why Kleber should be bound to it. You ever heard of “cultural relativism”? If you’ve taken Sociology 101, you have, so you know that Kleber is not beholden to American cultural norms.
Which means he should’ve continued the ass kicking, but not just continued it, but upped it. 30 points should’ve been the lower limit of his point total.
