Marvin Bagley 25 Points Full Highlights (3/24/2019)

Maybe I’m dumb, or maybe my knowledge of big men past and present is deficient, but I’ve been sitting here for AT LEAST two minutes and I’m not coming up with a good player comparison for Marvin Bagley. The closest I’ve come is Shawn Marion, but I don’t know if that’s a very good one. Basically, I’m assuming that Bagley never develops into a pure jumpshooter and forever relies on inside scoring moves to get his points. However, I’m also assuming that he plays mostly power forward and will do a lot of roaming on the perimeter. Is that like Giannis minus the playmaking? I dunno.

Since I am too dumb to go back into the archives of my mind and dredge up players of the past who fit this mold, I’m going to try something new: crowdsourcing! Crowdsourcing was a hip buzzword about four years ago, but just because the concept is lame now in the year 2019 doesn’t mean that the concept isn’t useful. I can use crowdsourcing to educate myself and to educate the internet at large, assuming that the “crowd” I’m trying to “source” information from is actually smarter than me. That’s a big if, but it’s also a chance I’m willing to take because my brain is not working well right now. Sitting next to an overclock microwave for a half decade might be causing some mutations, and not the good kind of mutations either.

So, tell me this, O wise internet denizens: if Bagley’s development continues as expected, what is his player comparison? No joke answers or I ban your YouTube account and write a letter to your mom.
