Chris Boucher 15 Points/2 Blocks Full Highlights (4/9/2019)

Chris “The Bouchebag” Boucher has been the mystery man for the Raptors this season. How good is he actually? Is he a being of pure potential or can he contribute on the court? Is his skinniness a hinderance or not a big deal? Is he better or worse than Lucas Nogueira? Raptors fans had all these questions, but they were never satisfactorily answered. G-League play is a poor barometer for NBA success, and Boucher’s minutes in real NBA contests were very limited. Until tonight.

Boucher, whose other nickname is the “One-Minute Warrior” (due to him playing exactly one minute for the Warriors during his rookie season), played so well in this matchup of teams who have nothing to play for that he could theoretically get playoff minutes because of it. Granted, it’s just one game, but the evidence is piling up that Boucher can be a situationally decent player. Remember when Clint Capela was getting spot minutes for the Rockets in the playoffs and killing it? Boucher could do the same thing. The similarities between the two are so eerie that I swear I just heard a ghost moaning inside the walls of my apartment.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Raptors commentator Jack Armstrong for his commentary. Going into this video, I knew he would have some funny/wacky things to say about Boucher’s strong performance, and he didn’t disappoint.
