Nate Wolters is currently one of the worst three point shooters in the league, currently sitting at a mere 18 percent. This puts him in company with such non-marksmen as Tyreke Evans and Tobias Harris (wasn’t he supposed to be good?), and is way worse than Josh Smith who is commonly regarded as the worst shooter of the modern era.
But it’s not totally hopeless for young(ish) Nate. Over the last 3 games he’s shot a totally acceptable 4-of-9 from downtown. Every good shooter gets in slumps. It just so happened that Wolters’ started at the beginning of the season and lasted 4 months. With so few attempts it’s hard to get into a rhythm.
He was such a good shooter in college that I can’t imagine that he’s going to be this bad for his entire career. Right?
