When all is said and done, this video will have been a waste of effort on my part. Not an enormous waste, given that it took me just twenty minutes to put it together, but a waste nonetheless. Even in the hierarchy of P.J. Tucker highlight videos, which is a very pathetic hierarchy to begin with, this is at the bottom. Sixteen points is notable for Tucker, but just barely. And the way he scores these sixteen points is not representative of his true role in the Rockets offense. You probably know what I’m going to say here.
Lame-ups.
They’re not even “fun” lame-ups, as far as a lame-up can be “fun”. It’s basically P.J. Tucker finding himself with the ball under the basket and having to use his two-inch vertical to chuck the ball at the backboard. He does hit a couple threes like you would expect from him, but that’s not enough to save this video from total drudgery. The last time I plan to ever look at this thing is right now. If it ever gets more than five hundred views, I’ll livestream myself injecting Pop-Tart frosting into my eyeballs.
