I know you’re out there, Warriors fans. You haven’t hopped off the bandwagon yet, have you? Maybe you didn’t want to watch the vid of Eric Paschall scoring 20, maybe you don’t ever want to watch another second of Warriors basketball ever again, but oh look, what do we have here? It’s Glenn “Big Shot Grob” Robinson scoring 17 points. You know you want to watch it. Forget about the pain of injuries and suckitude as you let the soothing visions of Robinson get buckets caress your eyeballs.
If this was last year, we’d have hordes of casual Warriors fans saying stuff like “Robinson is a perfect compliment to our lineup” or “I really like Robinson’s athleticism” or “I have no self respect and need to attach myself to successful things in order to make my self seem successful by proxy”. Instead, nothing. The Warriors fans that are currently alive and able to make posts on social media are the ones who realize that Robinson really isn’t that good and isn’t likely to become good either.
But, you know, 17 points. That’s a lot of points for this guy, who has played 3000 minutes for five different teams over his career yet only has a career-high of 20. If that factoid isn’t enough to make you watch this video, you can crawl back to your Harden highlights where the buckets are half as exciting and half the runtime is free throws. You heard me.
