Dario Saric 18 Points Full Highlights (11/12/2019)

The Suns made a lot of acquisitions over the summer, once again positioning themselves as a contender for the 8th seed in the West. Ignoring the fact that being an 8th seed is not something a team should really be striving for, and ignoring the fact that that’s what they tried to last year with spectacularly horrid results (Trevor Ariza, Ryan Anderson… what were they even thinking would happen), things seem to be going well. I wasn’t really impressed with the Dario Saric acquisition, and his stats aren’t great, but lineups with him involved do really well, so there must be some hidden chemistry buried under the raw stats that I’m not seeing.

One reason I wasn’t impressed was that his skillset overlaps significantly with the also-newly-acquired Frank Kaminsky. They’re basically the same player, except one is Croatian and one is Illinoid (“Illinoid” is what I call “people” [not really people, more like… animals] from Illinois, deal with it). Kaminsky sucks worse at defense though, probably because people pretend he’s a center even though the only center-y thing about him is that his head is really high off the ground. There’s a lot of redundancy with those two, but I’ve already solved that problem, with the solution of trading Frank Kaminsky and Cameron Johnson to the Bucks for anyone the Suns want besides Ersan Ilyasova and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Just waiting for the Suns to get back to me on that one.

While we wait eagerly for an era of Suns basketball where Saric doesn’t have to compete directly with Kaminsky, we can enjoy these season-high 18-point highlights. They’re great! Not as good as some of his 76ers highlights, but better than the majority of the Timberwolves ones.
