If you want a little bit of explanation, Maxi Kleber is first because he’s a big German and shoots threes, just like Dirk Nowitzki. Germanity, in my view, is the number one priority when it comes to determining who the next Dirk on the Dallas Mavericks is. Doncic is a Euro superstar like Dirk was, but he’s not German. Porzingis is a pure-shooting skinny Euro like Dirk, but he’s not German either. Josh Reaves comes in last because he hasn’t even made a bucket yet, and I’m pretty sure Dirk made at least a dozen, possibly two dozen, buckets over his career.
