I need to come up with a big list of players who I will be really mad if they don’t get invited to the three-point shootout over All-Star weekend. So far I have two definite people on the list:
-Jaren Jackson Jr.
-Tyler Herro
The NBA has to realize that, in this modern of age of modern offenses (that mostly feature people just chucking threes all the time), 10 three-point contest participants is not enough. But the NBA will not realize that, not until it starts hitting them where it hurts, in their pocketbooks. Which is why, if Jackson (and Herro), don’t get selected to participate, I am boycotting. They’re not getting any of MY money. I’m going to sail the seven seas of piracy and watch an illegal stream of the three-point contest this year. That’ll show them.
I just Googled “Can the feds arrest you for watching illegal sports streams on the internet?” and results are mixed. One guy claims he totally did get arrested for trying to pirate a UFC pay-per-event, and another person says that he opened up a stream of game 3 of the Finals last year and immediately heard sirens and got spooked and closed it, then the sirens stopped. So I’m uneasy about my plan, but I plan to see it through to the end. That is how serious I am about punishing the NBA for snubbing Jackson.
