Jarrett Culver 17 Points Full Highlights (1/15/2020)

Don’t look now (when people say that phrase it means they actually want you to look so go to basketball-reference right now and check it out), but Jarrett Culver has put together a really nice stretch of games for the Timberwolves. He’s almost on a 10-game stretch of consecutive double-digit scoring performances, and most have them have been really solid, a nice amount of bucketage is going on. A couple 20-burgers in there, even. Not so bad for a guy I called “the biggest bust in the NBA since Anthony Bennett”.

That’s a real quote from me, by the way. It may not have been a real quote until just now, but now that I’ve said it, you cannot deny that I’ve said it.

And he’s doing his scoring without any help from the refs. Supposedly rookies have to earn their stripes before getting to go to the stripe, which seems weird for a professional sports league, but whatever, he hasn’t shot a free throw in four games despite playing 30 minutes per contest and attacking the rim a lot. Even when he gets assaulted by Robin Lopez it ends up being him earning the technical foul.
