Landry Shamet 18 Points Full Highlights (1/21/2020)

Whose idea was it to only schedule one game for a whole night? Was there something else going on where the NBA didn’t want to compete? Was the Super Bowl happening without me being aware of it? Because here’s the deal: when there are no games, there are no highlights. Straight up. The correlation between the amount of games there are and the amount of vids I make is high. This may seem obvious, and it probably is, but I’m trying to explain to you good people that I’m not being lazy right now. The NBA is doing this to me.

Clippers versus Mavericks is a pretty good matchup if you like degenerative formerly-good players (Kawhi Leonard) or James Harden but from Europe so it’s cool that he flops for free throws all the god-damn time (Luka Doncic). It’s not a great matchup for me, though. We were lucky enough for Landry Shamet to score 18, otherwise there would be nothing for me to do and you all would think I’m dead (or worse… expelled).

If the Clippers were smart, they would find a way to utilize Shamet a bit more. Remember, he studied diligently under the tutelage of J.J. Redick, and you would think that the Clippers would remember how they used that guy and use Shamet the same way. Shamet doesn’t have the same gravity or whatever that Redick had (and still has, just not in LA), true, but he does have a sweet shooting stroke, and shooters need shots to get them in a rhythm.

As far as I can tell, the Clippers don’t really run an offense, so my first suggestion would be to maybe have some sort of offense that isn’t just whatever Kawhi feels like doing on a given possession.
