Ja Morant 23 Points/8 Assists/3 Dunks Full Highlights (1/26/2020)

Ja Morant entered the fourth quarter of this game with just nine points and four assists. I was sitting pretty, thinking that I would be able to take a small but well-deserved break from making Ja Morant highlight videos. Ha! Ha ha! How foolhardy of me to forget about the legend of Fourth Quarter Ja Morant!

Lest you think that Fourth Quarter Ja Morant is an urban myth or some kind of fantastical notion dreamed up by the Memphis media, I have stats from basketball-reference to back me up. Morant has made almost twice as many shots in fourth quarters of games (105 buckets, not even counting this game) than he has in any other individual quarter (54 buckets in the second quarter is the next highest). Not only that, but Morant shoots a jaw-dropping 55% from the field in fourth quarters, roughly 10% higher than he shoots in the remaining three quarters put together. Teams should be quaking in fear whenever the fourth quarter starts and Morant steps foot on the court.

So, obviously, Morant dominated the fourth quarter of this game like he so often does, and with another Grizzlies victory means a slightly higher chance of them sneaking into the playoffs as the eighth seed. Not bad for a rookie.
