OFFICIAL DTB DISCLAIMER: De’Andre Hunter had five steals in this game, and I was well aware of that fact while editing the video, but they are not shown here. My reason? Steals are notoriously random in the NBA, maybe not as random as assists and blocked shots, but still random. Often I will attempt to show a clip of a steal only to have to delete it from the video because it’s unclear what’s actually being shown. Sometimes the steal goes to the player who ends up with the ball, and sometimes it goes to the player who deflected the ball, and sometimes players just end up with steals for no discernible reason. I’ve learned my lesson, and will only show steals if the player in question either a.) is Gary Payton II or b.) had ten steals as part of a triple-double.
OFFICIAL DTB DISCLAIMER #2: De’Andre Hunter scored nineteen points in this game, which is good, but it took him 47 minutes to score those points. This was a double-OT game, so 47 minutes isn’t as redonkulous as it sounds, but it’s still quite redonkulous. Hunter scored three of his points in the second overtime, so it’s fair to say that without the overtimes, this video would not be happening, because sixteen is not enough for a Hunter highlight vid.
OFFICIAL DTB DISCLAIMER #3: I don’t actually have any more disclaimers but I sort of have an unwritten rule that every video description needs to have three paragraphs in it, and this is that third paragraph. Sorry for wasting your time. Dislike this video if you must. I can take it. In fact, I deserve it.
