Juan “Spanish Marvin Williams” Hernangomez took a little break from scoring in the mid-teens for two games, but he’s right back at it again, scoring 17 last game and 18 in this one, another new season-high for him. It is only a matter of time before he gets the one extra bucket he needs and scores 20, and then maybe I will finally be free of this overwhelming burden of making a vid from him every game.
I actually just checked my policies (written in blood under the glistening light of a full moon), and it turns out that I for sure exclude players from my channel when they AVERAGE 20, not just score 20 in a single game. So that sucks. He’s averaging like 15 for the Timberwolves, but that’s a far cry from 20, so I (and you, by extension) might be stuck with these endless Hernangomez vids for a long time.
His increased scoring since getting traded illustrates a truism about the NBA that maybe not everyone realizes: almost any player, if you give them enough minutes and opportunities, will score a good amount of points. Hernangomez is just a guy, but he’s getting a lot of chances to show his stuff, and it’s working, because he’s an NBA player. Note: this truism does NOT apply to Desagana Diop.
