I found it funny that the Magic commentators mentioned how Michael Carter-Williams was shooting threes with a lot of confidence. Yeah, of course he shoots them with a lot of confidence. He’s always done that. It doesn’t help him make them, at all, but he’ll let it fly if he wants.
MCW is a confident player. He doesn’t let his limitations stand in his way of trying to do things. In his mind, he can hit the jumpers, he can find the passes, he can make the plays. The reality of him being a really poor offensive player seems to not affect him at all. And that’s cool.
I didn’t even hate him on the Bucks. I was really happy when he got traded for Tony Snell (a special SCREW OFF to all the Bulls fans who thought that they won that trade, what a joke), but Carter-Williams wasn’t the worst player ever for Milwaukee. He has regressed a lot since then, and now he’s just a weird jack-of-all-trades player who it’s hard to tell if he helps teams win or not.
Magic fans will have to help me on this. Do you like MCW? Do you, at least, tolerate him? I know you hate D.J. Augustin, do you also hate MCW? I just don’t know. He seems fine from my point of view, granted, I don’t have to watch him every game, but when I did have to watch him every game, he didn’t make me want to gouge out my eyeballs with my thumbs.
