I still don’t know a whole lot about Jordan McLaughlin, but I do know this: he’s not Jeff Teague.
This fact should be extremely comforting for Timberwolves fans, and I’m sure they realize it very clearly by this point. Teague was, according to them, the worst. Just the absolute worst. They hated him. I never quite understood the reasons underlying the hate, but I did sense its incredible breadth AND width. Something about being weirdly unaggressive?
Here’s another fact about McLaughlin: he’s not Luke Ridnour.
This one makes me sad, because I liked Ridnour with the Bucks. I hope Timberwolves fans liked him too. If McLaughlin WAS Ridnour, that would make me happy, but he isn’t. And so, I am sad. Does anyone know if Ridnour is still in game shape and maybe able to play some solid minutes for the Bucks in the playoffs?
I’m actually struggling to come up with a solid comp for McLaughlin, so I think I’ll just punt this one and wait for someone smarter than me to come up with one that I can then steal and pass of as my own. Zach Lowe, I’m looking at you.
