D.J. Augustin 24 Points Full Highlights (3/8/2020)

It doesn’t seem like anyone cares too much about D.J. Augustin these days, and I don’t mean to imply that I do (I certainly do not and resent the accusation), but it is kind of cool that he’s not even 6 feet tall but has managed such a long and successful (kinda) NBA career. It’s hard enough for midgets to make the league in the first place these days; lasting more than a few years is a real testament to his skill.

If he was just a few inches taller, he’d probably be a single-time All-Star. Maybe during that partial season with the Bulls where he balled out hard after getting traded from the Raptors (who had tried to prematurely end his career by not playing him at all).

This season hasn’t been as good for Augustin as last year, where he was a seriously legit player for the Magic. As usual, no one realized it, but he significantly contributed to a playoff team that year. People did realize when he hit that game winner against the Raptors, which might have been the first time many of them had ever given him any thought at all.

I’m aiming to change that. I don’t think I’ll have any success (which is why I said “aiming” and not “going”, but there’s a chance that someone who isn’t really aware of Augustin will watch this video and become enlightened.
