So DaQuan “DaQuantum Mechanics” Jeffries went from not playing in ANY of the Kings’ first 24 games to starting against the Bucks and playing almost forty minutes. That’s pretty crazy. Crazy to the point where it calls into question Luke Walton’s rotations up to this point. Usually, a player getting DNP’s and a player worthy of being played forty minutes in a single game are not the same player. The combined injuries to Harrison Barnes and Glenn Robinson III are the main reason why Jeffries had to be out there for so long, but still. You’d think this dude would have at least gotten some pity minutes at the end of blowouts or something.
Since this is now the second video I’ve made for Jeffries this season, I feel I am the non-Kings fan who is most knowledgeable about him in the entire universe. Who else can claim to have watched four entire minutes of film on this dude? Nobody. Not even the team employees who put together the scouting reports. I can offer uniquely unbiased and accurate takes on Jeffries, and the only thing stopping me from doing so and blowing all your minds is that I don’t really feel like doing it right now.
Here’s a little teaser for you: DaQuan Jeffries looks like Gary Harris on steroids, and he plays like prime Jabari Parker. He’s also tatted up like a ten year veteran of the league. There’s more hard-hitting analysis where that came from, but I’m too lazy to write it down. For now it resides in my head where only I get to enjoy it. Maybe if you donate to my Patreon, I’ll disgorge some additional Jeffries-related wisdom. Maybe.
