Markus Howard 20 Points Full Highlights (5/14/2021)

Watching Markus Howard drop twenty points on the Pistons makes me realize a few things:

1. Being a short man in the NBA is really tough. Defenders are too tall and it’s hard to even get a shot off, whether it’s a layup or a jumper. But all attempts at introducing a basketball league with a lower rim have been dramatic failures, so this is how things are. Players like Howard are always going to be at a disadvantage no matter how much skill they possess. You can see how he has to fade or lean on most of his shots just to ensure that they don’t get swatted into the stratosphere.

2. I really, really miss Shane Larkin. I didn’t realize it until just now. He’s having a nice career overseas, but somebody needs to buy him out of his lucrative overseas contract and bring him back for the last day of the regular season, which is Sunday. It’s not too late to do this. Please. I need more Shane Larkin in my life. I’ll even donate all of this month’s Patreon proceeds to his new contract, if that helps.

3. Markus Howard and Facundo Campazzo should play more as a tandem. Campazzo can feed Howard nonstop for easy buckets. The defensive concerns that this tandem poses are overblown. Combined, they could easily lock down a single player as long as that player is no taller than 6’6″.

4. GOD I MISS YOU SHANE LARKIN
