In any other draft class, Frank Kaminsky’s rookie year would be just fine for most people. Not amazing by any means, but fine. But this is not any other draft class. This draft class has Towns, Okafor, and Porzingis. Three rookie bigs who came out of the gate ready to dominate. And their collective performances make Kaminsky seem, well, kind of sucky.
Never mind that what he’s doing right now is basically what was expected out of his short-armed, tall-headed frame. That’s not good enough. Not this year. If he’s not putting up 20 points on a regular basis (he’s only done it twice this season), then his season can only be considered a failure. Thanks, MJ. Don’t also those Boston picks look good now?
