So I guess the Dewayne Dedmon era in Orlando is officially over? After recently starting a bunch of games for the Magic, Dedmon just got a DNP-CD in this one. The Vucevic era, meanwhile, is back in full effect, so instead of taking twenty shots off the bench, Vucci Mane now gets to take twenty shots as a starter. Where one era ends, another era must, by definition, begin. Such a transitioning of eras is something we all just witnessed if you were paying enough attention.
Too bad. I’ve gotten a little tired of making Vucevic videos (Vucevideos?) since he’s been a jump-shooting, layup-layupping scorer for a couple seasons now. He rarely does something different or exciting. Dedmon brought a new and fresh element to my highlight-making art; he was somebody who was good for multiple lobs per game and maybe some showtime blocks. I don’t know if Vucevic has ever caught a lob in his life. He’s probably blocked a few shots, but certainly not in any manner that could be described as “showtime”.
Oh well. I’ll just chill out and hope for Devyn Marble highlights sometime before I die.
