Does James Ennis look… different than he used to? I have an image in my head of how James Ennis looked while he was on the Heat, and it doesn’t match up at all with the dude I’m watching play for the Pelicans. It’s not even close, really.
This guy on the Pelicans looks like a grizzled vet. That’s not what he resembled before. He was a lot, uh, “smoother” looking. Right? That’s definitely what I remember.
I don’t want to get into conspiracies here, because conspiracies are always a bunch of bull, but are we even sure that it’s the same person? It would be super easy for a D-League type player to get replaced with a look-alike. Trivial. Maybe the real James Ennis died and was replaced because his team didn’t want to lose revenue? I’m just throwing ideas out there, trying to reconcile this dissonance in my mind.
Whatever the case, remember that the truth always finds a way.
