I watched a lot of Summer League before this season. Especially of the Bucks’ squad. What can I say? I was desperate for basketball. I saw a lot of players that I liked on that team. Lots of intriguing pieces for the Bucks’ future.
Sean Kilpatrick wasn’t one of those players. I knew he had NBA experience (obviously, since I made highlights of him the year before), but he didn’t look anything like a legit NBA player. Normally, players with NBA talent are unstoppable in Summer League. Kilpatrick was eminently stoppable. Nothing about his play indicated future 25-point performances on a “real” NBA team playing “real” NBA games.
I put “real” in quotes because the Nets are basically a D-League team right now. However, the teams they are playing, for the most part, are not, so these recent big scoring games from The Kilswitch are legit. So legit that maybe he’ll get to play on a team with other NBA players on it next year.
